My Morning With Emma

With the big kids off to their home school day at The Works, and William down for his morning nap, Emma and I decided to have some creative fun! Although my house needs some serious TLC (which is why my blogs have been scarce this week) and Daddy was traveling which always puts me behind, I decided to let everything go and spend some much needed quality time with Emma! It was just what her and I needed!

First, she graphed candy hearts.

After she was done graphing we counted how many of each color and she practiced writing her numbers.

Next, we "painted" with crayons!
This is an activity I saw online and have been wanting to do for awhile. Here are the instructions:
preheat oven to 270
put aluminum foil in for 10 minutes
remove heated aluminum foil and place on cookie sheet
draw on warm foil with peeled crayons
The crayons melt as you are drawing on the foil which makes it look like paint!

Emma REALLY enjoyed this! She is already asking to do it again tomorrow!

This child has always loved to paint! Since she was little finger painting and water coloring have been two of her favorite activities so she was excited to paint her own hands and make these adorable cards for family.

Emma's hand print heart. All that's left to do is add glitter and stickers. Won't the Grandparents love it?
