Our Stop At Cabela's

Cabela's (in case you haven't heard ) is a hunting/fishing/camping store that is in Wheeling West Virginia. I had no idea of the magnitude of the store until my hubby suggested we stop there two years ago on our way to Maryland. Needless to say, we are hooked ! There is so much to see and do and it is a great half way stop in between Columbus and Deep Creek. The store has an aquarium, restaurant, fudge shop, a hunting range for kids, a coy pond, and several exhibits of stuffed life size animals. It is the perfect place to let the kids run around and learn a little too! We are always looking for educational places to stop when we travel and although this is not your traditional learning environment we loved browsing through the nature books, seeing how big the animals were close up, and looking at the bird watching section of the store (yes this was my favorite)!!

One of the many exhibits: this depicts a forest/mountain habitat.

Adrienne in front of the arctic habitat. Can you believe the size of that polar bear? It is massive!

A life size stuffed elephant.

This grizzly is SCARY!!!
