One busy little elf...(and a busy mama elf too!)

Our new little elf tradition is a keeper! The kids are having so much fun looking for Carson every morning. You never know what creative place he will show up next... Today he appeared on top of the welcome sign by our front door. We hosted Emma's Daisy Scout Christmas party this morning so we think he landed here to welcome all of the sweet girls to the party.
He likes to find high places so that he can watch all that we do. In case you are wondering the candy cane and scarf that the elf is wearing were homemade gifts from Adrienne. Wasn't that sweet of her to make Carson a gift!

Carson was even nice enough to bring us donuts and a book on the morning we were going downtown to see the Nutcracker. What a thoughtful elf he is.

Although, sometimes he causes some extra work for mom. One day he took all of our stockings off of the stocking holders and made a nice, cozy seat for himself.
Emma thought it was so funny when he was hanging from the star at the tip top of our tree.
We only have until Christmas Eve to spend with our new friend and the kids are already talking about how sad they will be when he has to go! We will miss you Carson!
Carson is not the only busy elf around these parts. This mama elf has had just a few things going on this week too, which has caused me to neglect my blog. I am hoping to get caught up this weekend, but with shopping, wrapping, cleaning, and a Sunday School concert to attend I am not making any guarantees.
Hope everyone has a great weekend and drive carefully!
Ready or not... the snow is coming!

I LOVE it! Maybe we'll need to start this little tradition next year!
