Emma has so many problems staying in bed and falling asleep. She is out of bed several times a night, she's been found sleeping in the hallway, on the floor, and in other people's rooms, and just generally has a really hard time settling down. We have tried everything from taking privileges away, grounding, and taking her favorite blanket or stuffed animal away in the wee evening hours.
The other night when Kevin was at the Ohio State basketball game and I was on my own for bedtime, she was begging to sleep with me and out of bed so many times. I was just done. I needed some me time and honestly it was pushing ten and as much as I love my children I don't enjoy seeing them past the ten o'clock hour unless it is a special occasion.
So, what came to mind. Blackmail, bribery...all the things you are not suppose to do.
I promised her a trip to Graeters to get whatever she wanted, not just a measly scoop of ice cream, but possibly two or three scoops, or a sundae. Something she is NEVER aloud to have.
Guess who has gone to bed like a perfect angel ever since. FOUR nights in a row!! When she reaches seven nights in a row we are heading to Graeters!
And that got me to thinking about how much Emma loves ice cream.
Which brings me to this post, and some of the many cruise pictures I never had time to post.
On our last night on the boat Adrienne and Colin were at the Camp party. (And let me tell you this cruise line can throw a rockin party!!!)
Emma decided she wanted to have an ice cream party with Mommy, Daddy and William instead.
The ship had a 24 hour ice cream bar so we were in business.
We had the best time just hanging out, laughing, taking silly pictures, and eating lots and lots of yummy ice cream!

I LOVE these pictures! You got some seriously adorable shots! (And the kids will really enjoy those with goofy mama later, too!)
This is funny because...the other night at dinner, I asked Emma what her favorite thing about the cruise was and she said, "The ice cream!" I didn't know what to make of that at first! I dug a little, managed to learn that there was a nice little always open ice cream place, and that she indulged to her heart's content.
"I thought you were going to say 'the waterslides'", I told her.
"Well, I liked those second," was her cute reply.
You shell out THOUSANDS for an awesome experience, complete with unique events like waterslides that wrap around the darn boat, and the kid just loves her ice cream.
I'm lovin' it!!!!
Those are some adorable pictures! I am trying to catch-up on all the blogs, including my own! I think I need some ice cream first though.......
