Daisy Valentine Party

(I have to say first of all that my camera ran out of batteries so I only have pictures from half of the meeting. Doesn't that stink!!!!)
We started our Valentine party with the flag ceremony and business. Isn't our new Kaper Chart the cutest thing! (Thank you so much Amy! You really did a great job with this, and trust me it will get a lot of use.)
We have many upcoming events that we wanted to discuss with the girls but really they were all about the crafts and candy. What little girl wouldn't be right?
We made the cutest heart hand print cards, which is why all of girls have paint on their hands but unfortunately, I got no pictures of the finished products. The girls really enjoyed having their hands painted, and choosing what lucky loved one would be the recipient of their gorgeous piece of art work. As I was working on helping the girls with their cards, Miss Cathy was helping them construct their sugar cube shacks. I made these with my kids last year and they enjoyed it so much that I knew we had to try it with the troop. I forgot just how much time these take. Although they didn't finish them in the time allotted, we bagged up some cubes and lots of candy for them to finish this creative project at home.
Lastly, the girls passed out Valentines to each other. These are such a sweet group of girls and they just loved giving to their friends. We closed the meeting with a song and our Daisy ring.

Checking out our new Kaper chart.

Icky, squishy fun!

Starting to work on the sugar shacks.

Snack time. The best part of our meetings.
Thank you Cathy for hosting.
Coming up in March...
A day camp at Cosi, International Thinking Day at Blacklick Woods, and the Daisy Easter Egg Hunt.
Hope all you Daisy girls are staying warm and having tons of fun in the snow!
