We arrived home last night and got the car unpacked, picked up the animals from the vet, went to the grocery, started some laundry, and got settled back home. It is good to be home. I love to travel but it is nice to be back. And I left my house in decent shape which is always nice to come home to. Today I hadn't planned on doing much school but I got a good nights sleep and was up early so we worked on some of our lent activities, did some reading, caught up on our scholastic newspapers, and worked on our 40 bags in 40 days project. Remember my post from last week. Well, we are plugging away. The Kidney Foundation is coming tomorrow and I had my kids go through their rooms and fill up a small plastic grocery bag full of things they don't want anymore. Some people here are more cooperative than others about getting rid of stuff. The girls each had a heaping bag full of misc. items from their room. Great job girls.
Notice how I only said girls. For some reason the boys in this house are pack rats. Colin at first couldn't find a single thing to part with and he has the biggest bedroom and the most "stuff" of anyone. I made him look again and he finally found three items he was willing to say good bye to. So that issue was solved.
Look who found everything and started to unpack. It was like Christmas around here for little William. Not to mention the fact that he has turned himself into a piece of art AGAIN. Just when I think I am getting ahead...
