Ice Skating at Wisp Resort

We headed to Wisp Resort bright and early to buy our snow tubing passes for tomorrow. When we saw the ice skating rink practically empty (only two others) we decided to go skating right then and there!
It was so incredibly beautiful to ice skate outdoors surrounded by mountains. It is not too cold out today and as you can tell by my big old sunglasses the sun is out!!!!
We skated for about an hour and are now back in the cabin warm and snug.
One more thing...I spoke with the lady who sold me the snow tubing passes about the weather. She said they are now expecting 40-44 inches of snow Mon. and Tues. YIKES. We are suppose to leave Tues. morning. She also told me that schools have been out here for two weeks and they are not anticipating opening until March!
Hmmm...maybe we'll be stuck here until March! I don't think I would mind a bit!

Jenny, what beautifully cute photos of you and your kids! I just love them all but the one of you and Colin is particularly sweet. You look ORNERY.

And WOW, all that snow piled in the background!

We're hoping to head back up there next winter ourselves so blog well, sister! I'm totally in on the ice skating fun, can't wait to see the snow tubing and dog sledding.

And you BETTER come back before March! Rhyse would have your head!
