My New Friday Night Hang Out!

Wow have my Friday nights changed in the last twelve years. But I don't mind at all.
Going from bars in the short north to a Rec. center in Westerville is just about as opposite as you can get, but it is where I am comfortable these days. And last night was especially easy because there were no little boys! I did feel a tad bit guilty leaving William hiding in a closet crying because Mommy and all older siblings were going out for a night of swimming. It didn't take me long to get over it when I realized just how relaxing it can be to sit and chill. Did I say sit? Yes, no chasing little people was a nice change of pace. And, being able to talk to a good friend without interruptions. Wow, it was heavenly.
Now that I am done talking about myself let's get to the kids.
These six: Adrienne, Chas, Colin, Rhyse, Emma and Greer had SO much fun!
What we thought would be an hour of swimming to burn off some energy turned into 2 1/2 hours. (I think they would have stayed longer, but the place was closing.)
I can't wait to go back. (I'm thinking no little boys again. What do you think Angi?)
Some highlights of the evening: Greer swimming underwater, Colin and Rhyse not getting in trouble by the lifeguards (at least not that we saw), Emma going down the big slides for the first time, and Chas and Adrienne so hoarse you would have thought we took them to the Black Eyed Peas concert or something...apparently the pool is a great place to chat, chat, chat!
Looking forward to doing this on a regular basis... and not missing those old school late Friday nights one bit!!!

That definitely probably helps with the winter blues - a fun dip in the pool!! Great pictures.

What a great post! And I'm totally cracking up!!!
Yes, it was so fun and yes, no little boys! I rather like sitting on my duff for two hours!

Love the first two of Emma and you definitely managed to get around with your camera for some great shots! The one of Adrienne made me happy, it was like a rare and exotic spotting of an endangered animal! Those two are so camera shy!!!!

Can't wait until next time!
