This new league she is bumping up to is much more competitive than last year.
And if you want a pitching position you really have to prove yourself!
I am proud of her for taking such initiative to practice. It's not easy to get up there in front of so many people.
It is amazing to me how competitive the parents are at this level. Not only does the pitcher have to listen to chants from the girls on the opposing team, but often times (not so nice) comments from parents.
I am just not a competitive person by nature and so it really surprises me when parents act like this. Shouldn't it still be about having fun and enjoying yourself!
I know she is having a great time and that is all that matters.
