Outdoor Education

One of my favorite teachers at co-op is Mrs. Slone. So, when she told me about an outdoor education, "survival" class she would be teaching at Blendon woods, I knew Adrienne would have to participate.
Everything she teaches is above and beyond anything I could do, and what a great opportunity to get out and enjoy some nature at this beautiful park.
Adrienne is having a blast, learning a lot, and stepping out of her comfort zone.
Which, for a girl at this age, can be hard.
Last week they learned how to start a fire with flint. I got no pictures from last week, but this week I snuck a few. Not sure what they were working on at the picnic table, I took a few pics and chased William to the next playground.
But, I was able to get some shots of them going on a blindfolded nature walk. I could tell Adrienne was nervous, but she participated and did great. She is already looking forward to next week!

Mrs. Slone is a great teacher! Brandon is loving this class, particularly yesterday's.
