Our Hanukkah Party

As I posted previously we went over to the Miller's to have a Hanukkah party and learn about a holiday that we do not celebrate. After making the scrumptious potato latkes we played a quite heated dreidel game. In Emma's own words "Erin dominates this game" and she did. The youngest of the bunch won the game beating out 5,7,9,10, and 12 year olds! You go girl! The kids had so much fun with this that the game continued with Adrienne, Colin and Emma the next morning in our foyer. We concluded our party by splatter painting with toothbrushes on dark construction paper to represent the "lights at night" and playing a game of Bingo. As usual we always have to leave some time for the kids to just hang out and play and for Margot and I to catch up. As we were getting ready to leave we heard disturbing news from Erin that William was "leaking from his chin", (luckily, this was her way of telling us that he was drooling). Erin is the cutest little girl EVER! We had a great time and thanks again Margot for opening your home to us! We'll be back to study Kwanzaa in January.
