Inauguration Cooking Class

We have a great little cooking school not far from our house that started homeschool classes once a month! The kids did the "pumkin math" class in October and had a blast so we signed up for the "inauguration class". The children learned about different inaugurations in the past and made side dishes based upon three different presidents. They made "Chartreuse of Vegetables in Puff Pastry" which was served at President George W. Bush's inauguration, "Broiled Tomatoes" which was served at JFK's inauguation and "Blackberry Pie"which was served at President Lincoln's inauguration. What a neat way to learn history!
