A Sight To See

This was an incredible sight! Both my mom and I were in awe at this adorable black swan and her nest full of eggs. The zoo at Oglebay has a wetland area with wooden walkways throughout, so as we were looking at turtles, frogs, snakes, etc. we glanced over to see (literally right next to the walkway) this HUGE nest (I couldn't believe the SIZE of the nest) full of eggs. I can't believe she chose a spot so out in the open for her nest. It's hard to tell from the pictures but I bet there were at least six or seven eggs. This mama was as calm as could be, considering my kids faces were inches from her babies. We all agreed we were lucky to see such a sight!
