She is a talented little swimmer and can not only stay under water longer than anyone I know but also out flip anyone that comes over. I think she is up to six front flips in a row and five back flips without a single breath. (All while Mama is screaming "remember to breathe"!!)
So today when she asked me to take her picture swimming I was thrilled! She LOVES getting her picture taken anywhere but the pool is her favorite! She is so graceful in the water and this chick knows how to strike a pose!
Although Emma has already had swimmers ear twice this summer (and I think she may be working on a third time right now), she still swims at least twice a day and has several girlfriends from the neighborhood over on a daily basis to dive for coins (her personal favorite) ,and play all sorts of make believe games. She has quite the imagination for a 5 1/2 year old!
She reminds me so much of myself because back in the day I too was a little mermaid. I could swim all day and spent most of my lazy summers days at the pool.
I have so many fond childhood memories swimming the days away with friends and I love that my little girl can look back and recall all these wet and wonderful summer days!
