The Velvet Ice Cream Factory

One of our summer traditions here is to make the scenic rode trip to Utica to visit the Velvet Ice Cream Factory and get some VERY yummy ice cream! We usually go in August but with three birthday's in the family, hosting a girl scout camp out and softball party, going on a two week vacation, and getting organized for the school year, we thought it best to go a little earlier this year!
We had plans with Kevin's parents to get together so what better place to take them right!
We packed some sandwiches, a cooler, and fishing poles and headed there for an afternoon of fun!
The weather was perfect and it was great to share one of our summer traditions with Nana and Papa! Thank you for joining us!!

Enjoying ice cream overlooking the pond.
Papa and William both have a love for sweet treats!

Don't Emma and Nana look so cute!

Emma got to feed the ducks with one of the ladies who works there.

This little goat was snuggling the baby cow. So cute!

Ready to catch some fish. (Was not thrilled at all when his little sister caught two and he caught zero!!!!!)

I love this shot of Adrienne showing William the baby duck. What a sweet big sister she is!

Emma's catch of the day. Of all my kids she has inherited daddy's love for fishing!

Nana helping William. He kept sticking his net in the water and almost fell in so many times! Thank you for helping little William stay dry Nana!!

We have never been there either, we need to add it to the summer list! Young Jersey's Dairy Farm is another great ice cream farm. We have been there, worth it!!
