I know I have written about this before but...just want to say again for the record that Sundays are NOT a day of rest around here. Between church and Sunday School in the morning, flag football in the afternoon, CCD for Adrienne and Colin at night, lesson plans, and general errands to get ready for the (most likely) really busy week ahead there is not much time for relaxation.
So, although we do family movie night on Fridays in the fall/winter we started another tradition on Sunday evenings.
When the older kids get home from CCD, usually around 7:45 they shower and get ready for bed and we all meet in the basement for popcorn, a little family Wii time, and watch Extreme Makeover.
There is no computer or phone between about 8-9:30 on Sunday evening.
It has been so great for us, and although the kids get to bed a little late, it really is well worth it because we are all together for a short time before the chaos begins again on Mon. morning.
We all look so forward to our Sunday evenings and plan on continuing new little tradition through the winter months.
(Oh, and aren't' my little popcorn containers adorable?? I got them in the $ section at Target.)
