We had another great Daisy meeting this month! I know I have said this before but I am really enjoying this cute little troop. They are such a sweet group of girls and so excited about everything that we do.
This meeting was a busy one!
We started with the flag ceremony and practicing the girl scout promise. We would like the girls to memorize it by the next meeting so that they can recite it at their investiture. Most of them have got it just about memorized.
After our opening we got right into making our first aid kit for the troop. Each girl brought two items and as we packed the kit we discussed what we might use each item for. The girls also got to decorate their kit with stickers.
We then moved onto our service project for the month. The girls made Thanksgiving cards for a local nursing home. Although most of us will not be able to deliver them in person this month we plan on visiting in Dec. These are a group of crafty girls (which I am excited about). They spent so much time making each individual card creative and unique. Great job girls!!
Next, we started planning for our investiture/Christmas party. The girls drew names for a secret Santa gift exchange. (Although I don't know how much of it will actually be a secret).
It's so hard not to tell at that age :)
We closed the meeting with our Daisy ring and a song.
Time went by fast but we made sure they had time to play at the end.
Next month we will be having our investiture and pinning ceremony, decorating cookies and making ornaments for the nursing home.
