We had the pleasure of hosting Emma's Daisy troop for their Christmas Party and Investiture.
Cathy and I over planned a little, but better to have too much to do, rather than too little right!
We kept the girls busy. That's for sure.
We started the party out with making some Christmas ornaments to donate to a local nursing home.
After the girls finished their ornaments, we went right into the investiture. The girls received their smocks, some of the petals they have earned, and their Daisy pin. They were all so proud to officially become Daisy's!
They also had the chance to show their parents the flag ceremony and recite the girl scout promise and pledge of allegiance.
After all that work, it was time to party. They enjoyed some refreshments, and then got to the cookie decorating.
Last, they had their secret Santa gift exchange. I think that was the highlight of the party. They enjoyed giving their gifts just as much as receiving.
One more thing... I want to say a special thank you to Adrienne and Liz who were a HUGE help to Cathy and I. They helped to set up and clean up and were so great with the girls as well. Thank you so much girls!!! We really appreciate your generosity and kindness with the little girls!
Looking forward to our January's meeting where we will be making t-shirts to wear for all of our upcoming field trips.
Until then...Merry Christmas Daisy's!!
