The Trolley Ride

This was an experience! We toured Hershey on a trolley with two actors aboard with us.
We sang some Christmas carols, saw the home Milton Hershey grew up in, saw the home he built for his wife, and even had a visit from Santa.
They asked for all the kids names when I signed up for this and to our surprise Santa called their name and handed out an ornament to every child. The trolley ride lasted about 30 min. which was just enough time for them to learn about Milton and the history of the town. Very educational as well as entertaining. Another thing I recommend to those of you who are planning to visit Hershey.
By this time William was in melt down mode so I took Adrienne, Colin and Emma while Kevin took William to the car to recharge for our next adventure which was to Hershey Park.
I'm almost done with photos from Hershey and can hardly wait to post all of our cruise pictures, which I will hopefully get started on later tonight after we put up and decorate our Christmas tree. Here comes the conductor...All aboard!
Ready with our Christmas Carols in hand.

Colin and Emma both decided to be the bell ringers.
This is the home Milton Hershey grew up in. He later turned it into an orphanage for young boys. He was truly a remarkably giving man. We read many books about his life before visiting and Adrienne even wrote a paper about the History of Hershey.
Santa is here!

I've been to Hershey many times and never rode the trolley! What a wonderful experience! If I ever make it back there, I'll have to do that for sure!
