He rang the front door bell, arrived with a book explaining why he was here, and lefr some treats for the kids.
We are so glad to have Carson (that is the name everyone agreed on) to join our family from now until Christmas Eve.
We hope we can follow a couple rules we read about in the book. The first being that none of us can touch him. That will make his magic disappear and if that happens he will not be able to fly to the north pole at night to report to Santa what we have been up to. Of course, we are allowed to talk to him and he will keep all of our secrets, and also deliver our messages to Santa!
We can't wait to see where he will appear each morning when he returns from the north pole to spend the days with us and make sure we are behaving this holiday season! We hope we can make our own little elf proud! We shall see...
Sorry about the picture above but I took it through the screen door.
Emma is so excited about this. It's the cutest thing. She carried the book around all night and wanted me to read it over and over to make sure we had all the rules and regulations just right. She feels honored to have our special house guest for the next 17 days. Unfortunately, he has to leave on Christmas Eve (it said so in the book). He will spend the year with Santa but return to us next year on Dec. 7th.
