Fishing on Father's Day

It is a tradition for us to go fishing on Fathers Day so that is just what we did!
My dad was busy and Kevin is going to lunch with his dad tomorrow, so we had the day to ourselves.
We were going to do a little day trip but the kids were so tired and Adrienne didn't wake up until 10:30!!
So, we changed our plans and headed over to the pond in our neighborhood to try and catch some fish (We were not successful, no fish today!)
But, we still had fun relaxing by the pond on this beautiful day.
We then came home to put William to bed and watched a family movie (not something we usually do in the middle of the day so it was a treat!)
The kids went out for a little while in the late afternoon to have a lemonade stand (something that is occurring on a daily basis around these parts).
After that, we grilled out and headed to our new favorite park with our bikes, baseballs, and scooters. What a great evening!!!
The kids are right now getting ready to kick off the first day of summer with some lightning bug catching with friends! Oh, these late summer nights! What memories....

Adrienne brought her sketch pad to draw "scenes from the pond".

Fishing is a favorite for Emma.

William was following Colin everywhere. Looks like I got another frog catcher in my future!

We had to bring "yum, yums" (William's code word for Popsicles)

Adrienne's cute flip flops.

Thank you to my hubby who really is the best Father!!!!! We are all so lucky to have you and we all love you more than anything!!! This father's day was so special and full of wonderful memories I will always treasure! Can't wait to spend many more with you!!!

I love the pictures of Adrienne and Emma fishing from behind. You should frame those for Kevin for his office!
